To paint my calipers, or not????

I just had a thought, since it is dry this weekend i may have a go at painting my brake calipers. Now, as i have a sepang (brown) roadster, this raises the question of a suitable colour...

Any suggestions that would suit such a understated colour? Maybe black, but isnt that entirey pointless????? :scratchhead:

I have the standard ///M wheels, and have no intention of changing to anything sexier. Agreed that the CSL's look amazing however i cannot justify that when my alloys are in good condition.

Maybe i should just forget about it and burn off a tank of fuel on the back roads tomorrow instead! :driving:

What y'all reckon?

Black is safe but maybe not to adventurous
White or grey might look good ?
red or yellow definitely not

Or how about colour coding them ? sepang ? 8)

i painted mine red, but they are a pain to keep clean.

gloss black would be nice, and wouldn't be pointless as it stops them having the rust look.

Colour code them sepang... Then after washing, when the discs rust it will be 100% matching!

So silver seems to be getting the vote currently, that could work!

Cheers!

i have the same thoughts. mine is a ruby black though... i could use some help as well regarding the colour of choice. i already bought rosso red but i am not 100% it will look good...

that's my second option bing but since i am painting the 108star matte black i am not sure about the end result. i am a bit confused...

Go silver - matte. Paint the hubs the same while you are at it - they'll stand out very nicely against all the black

Im going to get the wheels off tomorrow, and have a good look at it, see if i can be arsed!

Got a slight knock from the front end, so if i find what it is, that will take priority.

Think silver is the way forward though.

I think brighter colours look better on darker cars... While on lighter cars/ silvers i would go black.

Hubs? :?

around the outside of the hub, he means. the bit that goes rusty between the hub and brake disc.

Matt grey looks good.....
Mine are gloss black, but will change that soon when I replace the discs.....

Tapatalking...
