To old to roadster?

i think the relationship between old age and hatchback ownership is a fair one ...

but 40s isnt that age yet

50, love the roadster, don't really care if anyone thinks I'm too old for it - it's my midlife crisis, no one else's ;)

Drove home today with the top down (10c temp) and I think I'm at the beginning of a crisis. Am I to old at 40 to be driving a roadster? To add to this I've found myself being drawn more to the coupe of late, which I used to hate!

40? Too old? Are you having a laugh?

I got my Z4 Roadster a month ago. Next year I start to collect my old age pension. Forty? You're just a lad. Enjoy! ;0)

What's happened to make you feel too old at 40 to have a roadster? :?

I'm 55 and have the top down everytime I take the roadster out - unless it's pouring - was freezing this morning but the top was down - can't beat the sensation - would ride in a Model T just the same.

Probably how old you feel in the head is more important - i feel about 28 most the time - until I look in the mirror and wonder who it is looking back! :o

Coupes are for the people who would use dark visors when on their motorbikes - I call them ugly visors - for obvious reasons - must be something to hide? :fuelfire:

54 , roof down and going for a hoon ,never to old for wind in your hair (I stll have some ) blowing the cobwebs away nothing better

If the roof is not coming off - the car stays in the garage. Its that simple for me! :D

I had the Europe trip for a month in the summer and the only time the roof went up was overnight and on the ferry. It was the only way to appreciate the noise in the alpine tunnels :D

Just got back from a drive in the Cheshire country lanes ,playing insomnia by faithless full blast roof down , makes you feel 21 again love it

Good on ya!!! :driving:

x2 - that is a singularly brilliant tuuuuuune :driving:

Too old? Never. Though I'm not yet to 40, many guys I see driving convertibles of any make here in the US are well over 50 and balding with grey surrounds (not that it matters). That's why I tell people I bought my Z4r now, "while I still have hair to blow in the wind." :driving:

The jealous will tell you that you only bought it as some kind of midlife crisis response. Let them continue to enjoy their 4 door, nondescript, can-top 4 bangers. There is a lot more to an enjoyable drive than simply getting from point A to point B in any old jalopy.

I will say, it does my heart good to see people (men and women) old enough to be my grandparents who still know how to "put the hammer down" when driving their sports cars, and do so. Stay thirsty my friend!

The range of ages on the meet on Sunday was wide. All enthusiastic and all friendly. I very much enjoyed meeting everyone and at the time, people's ages didn't really occur to me other than young Tom, who I admired for saving up and buying his M at his young age and not being a complete knob in it

Spent the day bashing around in my Zed and loving it even after being alive for 57 years.

Too old? Pshaw!

Gotta get more Zedding in before the snow starts!!
(Before it becomes "zledding" ... ouch ...).

To old to have a roadster! How do people get such daft ideas.

Of course there may be a few rules that make sense. Like, no mini skirts after 35-40 unless one is in pristine shape. Same for the fellas in regards to a speedo swim suit. If you look down and can't see your junk. Then it's time to toss the speedo in the dust bin. Or. If you are going bald. Then just accept it. You are fooling no one but yourself with that comb over.
