To old to roadster?

Well, with 3 convertibles in my stable at the moment, I guess it is only getting worse the older you get :D

Even the X5 has the full panoramic roof.

may be the question should be: To bald to roadster?

You're only as old as the girl you feel

I'LL be 63 next month, still love the top down ................and drive too fast ( ACCORDING TO THE WIFE) :driving:

Couldn't afford it when I was young.Mortgage at 23, Married at 24,a dad at 25, divorced by 29 ( oops),maintenance payments til daughter was 18 etc.I've had bikes since my teens, but a nice car for the weekends has only been possible over the last 3 years.I've always promised myself a soft top sports car, and now I can afford it, I've got one, and shall have for years. If us roadster drivers are too old for roadsters,I rekon coupe drivers must be too square for a roadster. :D :poke: :fuelfire:

I must be one of the oldest members at 80 and I drop the top at every chance I get. It does not have to be blazing sunshine or tropical heat just so long as it's dry. Think young and stay young. :driving:

The average age in our local ZSCCA chapter is well North of 40 if not very close to 50 and we are a 100% roadster group... :driving:

My wife and I are in our mid fifties. And I still like going fast. I recently sold a 2006 Husqvarna SM610 supermotard, 2005 BMW R1200ST, 1957 Speedster replicar. All sporty rides. And bought the Zed and then packed up and moved to Europe.

To original poster, If you think you are to old for a roadster then you are. Go buy some diapers and a wheelchair and enjoy your 40's. :poke: Just Joking Mate. I care not one bit about what other folk think when they see a fifty something guy with a gray beard and not much hair on top rip passed them on a twisty mountain road in a low slung sports car.

Just go for a drive and don't worry so much. Worrying will just make you grow old quicker.

Cheers
Jerry

Fantastic, only took you a year and a half to respond

I only move fast in the car!!! :D

Not getting into or out of it tho!

The topic was resurrected as I was talking to swmbo about boys toys and had to prove to her that I wasnt the only one who hadnt grown up. I've even bought some proper shades to go with the new car.
Long may it continue. :)

Well I'm now 42 and still roadster'ing. I do have my moments of seriously consudering something more practable but every time I drive Mr. Z I fall in love with the car all over again.

Somebody has to try and keep the economy afloat! That nice Mr Osborne gives me some more cash at the end of this year so I will have to buy more toys then. Only to help the economy you understand!
