To much attension

I want to get a z4c 3.0si, ive just read something in the m forum about somebody's car getting too much attention.
My car is going to be my daily driver and it will be kept on my drive, do they get lots of attention and more importantly do they get the wrong kind of attention.
Im not an extrovert, im buying this car because I like the way it looks and because it's RWD, if I cared what people thought of what I drove i would not have had a girls car for the last 8 years.
How do people find owning these cars?
 
I don't find that I get much attention at all, it's not really supercar looking and most people don't really realise what it is / notice it at all.

Might as well be an Audi TT :wink:
 
Not much really. I use mine as a DD and for pretty much my usual bits. The Griff gets much more attention, just sitting on the driveway next to the Z4. The OH has had a fair few compliments when she's driven it though.
 
I get a few people trying it on. Usually idiots in diesel pieces of generic crap.

Get far more attention in the ST though.

And a positive - i always get lovely comments ranging from ''sick car bruv innit'' to ''that's a rather pleasent wagon you have there chap''.
 
Got to say mine gets a fair bit of attention - but then again, here oop norf the peasants rarely see a BMW let alone a yellow one :evil:

I do notice a lot of people looking at the car (well, I think it must be the car coz it's certainly not my manly physique and good looks) as I drive past, and I've been bothered more than usual in petrol stations since I got the Z - which is quite traumatic for someone who doesn't like other people. I'm actually far happier driving the wife's Ford Focus estate so that I can blend into the background better. I'd make a great hermit! .....A hermit with a dog - I do like dogs :) But not yellow ones.
 
Mine is on a private plate with bigger wheels and sits a little lower so is a little more eye catching than standard.

It gets quite a few admiring glances and both strangers and clients often compliment me on it.

So just the right sort of attention I would say.

Although to be fair the other day as I was leaving a clients house her neighbour was leaning over the gate and quipped 'your fees pay for that did they?'. Thought that was a bit rich given my car is 8 years old, but take it as a compliment really - the cars still look great and I think people often assume they are newer than they are.
 
Yea..

Mine seems to pull quite a lot of attention and questions... Petrol stations seem to be the worst, but people just generally enquire what it is ..

some of the local yoot (i think thats how they would describe themselves) have shouted out at me "sick whip" several times as im hooning past with the roof down :driving: :rofl:

Also as mine is White and has a //M front end i think it gets noticed more than say a standard black/silver Z (no offence black/silver Z owners :poke: )
 
Mine's parked either on the street or on the drive in south Liverpool, or in a pub/B&B car park in Brentford.

Not had so much as a scratch or a dodgy look.

We make an exception in the case of Golden retrievers and Lavatory Doors. Coz they is proper dogs innit? So yeah I lied about not liking yellow dogs, I lurves 'em really :)

Fortunately I don't get that much attention at all in mine, must be the colour - I suspect if I'd stuck to my plan and bought an imola red one things may be different.mturns a few heads when I boot it though :driving:

what model is it?just curious :wink:
My previous car was a horrid Citroën C3, poor thing had nothing for her but was driving me from A to B without shame.
Moving to a black Z4 coupe did not change my life, it's my daily and it rarely gets others' attention.
However you may now enjoy some spirited drives during week end and get respected by Porsche owners... :oops:
 
I get gasps of shock when I get out of the car when filling up - not directly about the car - more about how I can unwind my freaky frame out and back in - even bigger gasps 40 years ago when I had an MG Midget :rofl: :rofl: :rofl:
 
I bought my Z4C last June and have found it seems to attract attention at traffic lights when on the front row - not had that since I owned a Capri Injection too many years ago!
Only other comment was when I took it for an MOT in January - lady receptionist said it was a lovely car (and it passed with no advisories)!
So attention-wise I would say yes, but not really the wrong sort. They are pretty distinctive after all - that is why I wanted one.

Don't get me wrong, I think my clio is great (172 cup) but most people have no idea what an animal it is. They just think Nicole should be driving it.
