To lower or not to lower?

I love a lowered look, but mine is a daily drive (albeit mostly motorway) so I'm a little concerned the ride might be a bit tiresome.

Anyone lowered and use it daily? Thoughts?
 
I've changed 2 times in my daily 2.0....first with M springs 2 years ago and few weeks ago with H&R springs...It's a big change for the look and the confort, thats you decision.

Mine is a daily drive, and lowered... Which you know as I bought my springs from you (unless I'm going a bit senile :? )

It's fine, especially on motorways - it's speed bumps that are the issue, which affects everyone. The ride is actually better on smoother roads because the springs are designed to increase resistance the harder they are pushed, I believe, unlike OEM that are a constant resistance.

Of course I may be totally wrong - exdos is your man for suspension science - but the ride in my car got better when driving normally.
 
Eibachs improved the ride on mine. Moving from the M Sport Suspension. Only one issue in months, a lethal Tesco speed ramp.

Ha, I forgot you bought those Bing - they were dark times and it's all a little hazy. If you fancy swapping yours to OEMs before you move to your ///M, I'll take them back off you. £20 wasn't it, posted?!? :rofl:

That's someone's pride and joy personally it's not something I would make a video of a post it on the internet!! Must have hydraulic suspension otherwise it's spending it's life stuck in that car park.

Eibachs should be ok, as they're the least aggressive of all the lowering springs.

If it helps, order some think spring pads which will lessen the lowering effect more. The difference between thin and thick pads is 10mm IIRC

How do you know which ones you have currently? Are they all thin/thick?
 
What size wheels do you have and how much would you want to lower it?

I have 19's/Eibach and I use my as a daily.
 
This is mine lowered and sometimes too low for some humps but it's an occasional thing I worry about and I've stopped caring about creating a sue behind me.

Such is life.
