To change seats or not...

I have a black Z4 with beige interior. Today I saw a pair of black M seats at a spare dealer. They seemed to be about 5 years old and are in slightly better condition than mine. Mine are the normal seats, not M.

For 200 Pounds, should I do a swap? And what do you guys think about the black seats with the beige interior?
 
Are they heated and electric?

I would definately swap for that price regardless of whether they are heated or electric as they are far superior to the standard seats.

In my opinion I think it may look OK with the beige interior as unless you have the exteded leather you will have black plastic transmission tunnel and top and bottom of door cards.

If it bugs you that much you can always source replacement door cards in the future :thumbsup:

Even if you decide not to fit them I think you could sell them for more than the £200 anyway so I think it's a no brainer :?
 
Maybe I am getting the seats confused. I was told they came out of an M. Could also be the normal sport seats. They basically have a strip in the middle, sound familiar?
 
A strip in the middle? That sounds more like the upgrade new england leather package on the standard seats? Although If I remember correctly this was also available on the M Sport Seats. Think Craig3.0 has them in his car :)

Thanks! Ok, definately not M seats then. Unless they were different in an 05/06 (PFL) roadster (which these are apparently from)...

The headrest is adjustable and they have a 2cm wide strip on the bottom part (where your bum goes :D ) but not the back
 
Sounds like new england leather upgrade on the standard seats..

I personally wouldn't bother. I would save some more pennies and go for the M Sport ones. They are a completely different leauge to the standard ones.. Enhances the driving experience quite considerably as you can corner without falling out the seat :D

The chances of snapping a pair of those up here in SA are pretty slim. The main consideration for me is the colour, I really like black seats but can't make up my mind if they would go with the beige interior...

Do they look like the ones you have seen?

That's the seats! The ones I saw were the same but in black!
