Thanks for all your wishes really appreciated, :)

The handover went really well, I was a tad apprehensive when I arrived at the dealers as I was expecting to see the Zed parked up outside in the rain and then thinking how am I going to check it over for any defects etc. When I arrived no Zed too be seen until I saw him parked in his very own little indoor room raring too go :) I was at the dealer for a full 2 hours :o but after the paperwork the salesman left me with a coffee for 10 mins to go round the Zed and give it a good seeing over and all I can say I'm chuffed too bits. I had the Guard X paint and interior treatment something I wouldn't normally have gone for but it was half price and has a guarantee to remove any stains etc to the seats so might prove useful, you also get a really nifty loackable aluminium attache case with the treatment kit and a can of tyre goo for punctures :headbang: :) will have too take a pic. Luckily it was just drizzling when I left the dealer but have only been for a short drive as the weather is attrocious again :( First impressions are I'm amazed how much more comfortable the ride is over my previous 118d M Sport with 18" runflats and how much more the front end being lighter than the 1er with the diesel lump. Exhaust sounds fab especially inside the showroom :) In some ways I wished I had gone for the 19s but I have too say the cabin is a fair bit quieter with the 18s compared to the demo I drove back in Feb which had the 19s, seems to be less rear tyre roar, but those 19s do look gorgeous. I also decided to take out GAP insurance of 10K shortfull over 4 years after hearing of BMWs being nicked etc which is 40 quid a month, anyways here are some pics, hope you like them, unfortunately haven't managed too take some outside as its literally tipping it down this afternoon but will get some taken soon :)

Really pleased I bought that wall guard from Halfords yesterday :o

Cheers,

Tim.

Nice one Tim, very pleased for you.

I wish my dealer had a seperate hand-over area!

You got mud-guards....how much were they?

Need to talk to you about the GAP...I got it with ALA, 4yrs, £22500 shortfall for £224! The BMW policy is not as good. You can cancel it within 14 days.

Lovely car - is that a car port you have? Good for keeping the bird mess off!

Cheers Kevin, yes it was a nice touch doing the handover indoors if it had been outside today the weather would have completely ruined the experience.

The BMW mudflaps for the Z4 were.......wait for it, around £60 a pair :o I got them off BMW Direct, why they are so expensive I just do not know and twice the cost over the 1 Series flaps, anyways dealer didn't charge too fit, I know some people don't like them but I just prefer to keep any chipping of the paintwork along the sills and doors to a minimum.

See what you mean by the Gap, it was a it of a last minute decision, I had been looking a few days ago but decided not too bother then changed my mind this morning again :headbang: Yours sounds a good deal, can you PM me the details or links by any chance? thanks.

The carport runs full length of the house and is invaluable during the winter I'm unsure I will get the Z4 in the garage its gonna be tight but so pleased I went for the power folding mirrors.
