For the first time in a long time I got home in daylight today! I wanted to be out in the sunshine so I took a sponge to the car, thought I'd take a few snaps while its clean :D

This is my favourite picture so far!

And some more

Looking really good... Aeroskirts on a silver car looks so much better then on my black car :headbang:

Update: Quad fitted.

After spending Saturday in Oxford with Mat and Oli, my car now has 4 massive(89mm) tips hanging out the back. Sounds perfect to me!
It has a T coming off the original back box, all of the itchy stuffing was pulled out of the box before the T was welded in place.
Will be having a little tinker with it to get the tips in place, but I am very happy with it! Thanks Monkey

I'll upload the pics I took, maybe Monkey and Oli will upload some too?

Here's the finished Item (Final tinkering still to be done).

That looks great!! The whole car looks tidy and that exhaust looks spot on in my eyes!! Was worried as looked around for decent exhaust options for me 2.0 and seems nonexistent!! A video clip would be very muchly appreciated also but how loud do you find it? Also how would one go about getting hold of one of these and cost involved! :)

Thanks! The tip size was somewhat accidental but I'm very happy with it. Permission to use your reference to the GTR when I describe my exhaust in the future?

Hi Scotty, Thanks for your kind comments about my car :D
The exhaust is a custom job performed by Machine Monkey from this forum. Basically modified the original back box with new tips and a pipe going to the drivers side. Quite simple in theory, but in practice it did take a very long time. Partly due to my 2.0i having the single oval exit meaning more fabrication than was expected.
As far as sound goes, I'm very happy with it. I will try and get a video uploaded but I'm not convinced the full audio experience will be picked up on a cheapo camera.
If you don't live too far away, welcome to open your windows and I'll go give it a rev!

Mine will be the same as have the standard oval exhaust at current but this does look great! Im based in Northampton so if not too far rude not to check it out although failing that be great to see a little video! Ah I've seen lots of goodies from MM may need to get in touch and sweet talk the bank manager (wife).

Had a chav in an Old corsa pull up next to me at some lights today, had the usual "loud" exhaust and started revving. No idea what he was on but I gave my throttle a blip and he soon shut up, result

Those tips are very close to your paintwork! I would be concerned with blistering lacquer!

Apart from that the huge tips look good!

Yeh don't panic, the tips will be getting tinkered with soon.

Looks good - but as above it 'will' eventually melt your bumper, as it did with mine which are smaller in width than yours

Mine are smaller and further away, but the paint feels a bit rough near my tips now too :x

Thanks for the info! I assume you're talking about the drivers side tips? They will be moving closer to the centre of the hole to match the passenger side in a couple of weeks.

Yes only the drivers side as the air cools enough on the crossover bar

Like I said mine are slightly smaller than yours, shortly after I had mine fitted I had my bumper melt slightly, but this was from a long non stop 6 hour drive

In short I will be making the width narrower on the tips, I would advise you to do the same - moving them won't help

Definitely not going smaller, I love the way they fit the hole. I'll get a reflective heat shield to go round the inside of the bumper.

Sooooo . . . still really want one of those exhausts so nice fresh morning good opportunity for that little clip! :driving:

Not that im impatient or anything. . .

Hows it going still liking the exhaust? Hope the car is doing well as of course yourself too!
