Hi everyone,
I've had my Zed for 18 months now, I was thinking of selling it but I just cant bring myself to part with it. So instead I've decided to throw abit of money at it and turn it into something a little more special. I will use this as a progress thread updating with pictures of changes made to the car so stay tuned!
Below are some pictures of my Zed in standard(ish) condition:

Don't want to spoil the big surprise so all that i will say is there's some bits currently at the painters, but only for a few more days :D I'm getting myself all excited now!

I have a full set of carbon badges currently drying on the car and a couple of other little understated mods waiting to go on.

I'd also like to upgrade the stereo at some point but I'm not sure where to start with that yet.

Oh almost forgot, Vreds will be going on when March payday comes around :)

Sounds like aero skirts, a spoiler and possibly an ///M bumper to me :D

Can't wait to see it

Its been a while since i posted, mainly downto me getting the car ready to use again :)
Here's a teaser photo of what I've been upto, full photo shoot to follow.

Appologies for the poor quality of photos here, all i have is my iphone 3gs... Z4 seems to be consuming all of my funds!

If i was closer it wouldn't be as much of a teaser!
I'm still undecided about the front plate, I have a few options sitting in the shed consisting of;
1. Original holder with standard plate,
2. Stick on a standard plate with no screws,
3. Vinyl reflective sticker plate,
4. Risk it with no plate and good looks :D

Been a while since I've done much to the Zed but I've finally gotten around to organising a rear end overhaul.
Unfortunately I've had to spend some time repairing some damage before I could continue with the project.

Rear quarter panel was badly creased, I sourced a replacement and fitted it. There is a pain in the **** screw that you can only get at by releasing the roof at the rear which is a pig of a job and requires extreme flexibility!

slight crease in the door, could have been repaired but I sourced a replacement and again fitted it my self.
This was from a slight side impact with a van... I think I had a lucky escape.

So anyway, back to modding!

M rear bumper fitted with a centre bracket made to support it in the middle at the bottom. Still some work to do underneath to tidy up the airflow as it exits the car, will use some polycarbonate to build a rear under tray. Quad TBD, it does look pathetic without a quad!

Forum Sticker! I believe this is a necessity/requirement to be accepted into the brotherhood?

Nasty damage - glad its fixed, and looking great.

Missed this thread, pleased to see that I got 2 out of 3 mods correct :D

You would have called it 3 for 3 if it wasn't for my 50mpg combined economy quest, spoilers just add too much drag!

Oooooo im keen to watch this thread. I currently have a M rear bumper in the body shop being sprayed hopefully ready for fitting later this week. Ill be interested to know what route you take for quad exuast? Im going for one of the Powerflow custom jobbies. Seems popular, good price and lifetime guarantee

Not revealing my secret exhaust plans yet  , but I don't think you will have to watch for long to get your answer and I hope you will be pleasantly surprised :D
Watch this space!

Car looks excellent, look forward to seeing it with the exhaust as I want to do the exact same thing.
