Ahhh. I had a notification but didn’t see any message. Have provisionally agreed a sale, so will see it it completes to be fair. Sorry, just didn’t see your message until now. Shame it didn’t show originally !!
My understanding with the forum rules was that the first person who offered the asking price got them? And you've said you did get a notification which confirms my comment that I sent something that seemed to dissappear into the ether.. and that was probably 8-9 hours ago.. So do we have a deal? Thanks
I think to be fair you need to be transparent, so always post on here first... and avoid PM's (unless its sensitive stuff address, names, numbers, etc). Without seeing the PM we can't tell who offered first, hence the need to post here. In the forum rules as per below:

For clarity my "PMsent" was that id take them ( without negotiations ) at 6.50am with no other post above mine , i included my mob number & i had a text back 25 mins later which was before the next post on thread at 7.28am
Bank details were exchanged in the txt & i paid the money asked for the mirrors + p&p virtually straight away

I could understand a newbie maybe thinking its OK to PM in the first instance but when people who have been on here for years do it then it just makes a mockery of the whole forum, it's rules and other members. I've even bought from Mr Wilks before but I don't appreciate the rule bending and an apology afterwards..
If this forum is going to be fair and open to everyone then everyone should follow the same rules. I saw the same happen a couple of days ago on another thread with another regular poster...

Once a deal has been agreed or an unconditional asking price offer made, you may not withdraw from it without a very good reason. You will need to PM a moderator with an explanation but the moderators still reserve the right to impose a short trading ban.

Hi.
Just for clarity, I received a notification that a reply to the thread had been posted. However, when I tried to click on the link, no message was there. I tried a few times and still no reply visible. Hence I assumed that Hagasan had withdrawn the message.
Seems like perhaps this was a system glitch.
I have agreed a sale with another party. Apologies to anyone who was accidentally offended.
I had not realised that offers could not be considered via PM. An oversight on my part, apologies.

I would have to agree. A PM sent is no indication of commitment to buy. If you said "I want this, PM sent" then that's a different story.

Ok , last on this from me as i've no intention of getting into a tit for tat spat or inflaming the situation .
Its there for all to see , whatever waffle you want to throw up about your email , inbox-outbox whatever box a quick scan through your forum history tells me all i need to know , its rammed full with so many similar threads to this that i lost interest at page 10 , its almost like a personal crusade of yours & littered with references to problems with emails / private mails , txts whatever .
So my "PM sent" should have said "PM sent i'l take them" ? whichever it still wouldn't have altered the timeline for you so console yourself with that .
Keep quoting the forum rules if it makes you feel better , i can't say i was totally 100% in the right but it seems a vast majority of sale posts are completed this way without further issues or gripes .
Probably not want you want to hear but if it helps "Vanne" has a similar pair for sale with the door control panel included .

Fine, you flout the rules since it works in your favour even when you admitted you were wrong. I'm not on any crusade at all.. If you can't be fair and transparent like I'm trying to be then so be it if it makes you feel better. It's the principle behind what is done that annoys me. I said hours before you that I'd take them but it wasn't displayed. I didn't send a PM first. I posted on the thread like I did again in the morning. If you can't follow the rules after being here so long (or think that makes you above them) then I guess the rules should just be abandoned and it becomes a free for all... Guzumping, higher offers etc etc.. I wasn't being particularly personal towards you, you were merely the one that thought it OK to go against what's stated for all..
