Seat covers ! Thats what my papa used ! On his work Van.
Why cover lovely leather seats unless you are carrying something or have dogs ? Look after the leather & they will still look spot on when you sell, Enjoy them when you can. imo

Yes that's slightly different, I would use a blanket etcetera, also if I was going to be wearing soiled/wet clothes then yes, but to have a seat cover on all the time is quite bizarre, just saying

Tim's incontinent though sars!! :(

oh harsh, I wasn't going to make any personal comments, that was until he dissed me and my car.....so he's not incontinent, but anal in the same way that Sheldon is with the Star Trek transporter.

Spock.. What is the purpose of a toy
Sheldon..To be played with
Spock..Therefor to not play with it would be..
Sheldon.......Illogical

Now swap transporter for Z4 and we have Tim :poke:

Not for me I'm afraid. I totally get the protection idea, but ruins the look of the interior if you ask me. Although you did admit they are not "lookers"....

However, I cant really comment - last Saturday I bought an '04 plate Zsara Picasso to use for work (instead of the Z4) in order to protect it from high miles and Dr's car park "incidents". Drove the Z4 today, lovely!

Anyways sars only comes on here as the Merc forums are full of dull golfists and taxi drivers :poke:

Tim.

I'm on here because I'm passionate about cars....you're on here because you like museum pieces

Wouldn't want to cover my seats up, I like looking at them.
Be like being married to Johnny Depp and putting a bag over his head.

Tim once said any car with more than 30k on the clock was "knackered". I can understand why he won't play with his transporter

If I had a dog, and if I let it in my car, and if that car was my zed, I might use a seat cover ;-)

A while back Maniac started a thread on seat covers for the Zed for transporting his pooch. I've been after a decent one for the drivers seat for a while and gave up on the usual cheapie e-bay ones as invariably they are too small for the sports seats with integrated head rest and subsequently the seams tear and split. I suggested in the thread maybe give Titan Covers a try as their website looks fairly decent,

http://www.titancovers.co.uk/products/BMW-Front-Seat-Covers.html

Anyways finally got around to ordering one off them for the drivers seat in red to match the seats  for £19.99. The E89 isn't listed on their site so called them and explained it had the bolstered sports seats with integrated head rest so they sent me the next size up. Cover arrived today and whilst they're never going to win the looks stake the quality of these is superb with very strong seams and it doesn't stretch or pull at all when you climb in. It will definitely protect the seat from wear n tear :)

Next job is to part wrap the sills with paint shield behind the front wheels to half way along to the door, I did the area of sill in front on the rear wheels some time ago and worth doing :)

Tim.
Nice one Tim, pair ordered in black.

You're welcome Ray

Tim.

Why has this thread gone? I thought it was a decent idea for those owners with animals/in need to protect their leathers for whatever reason.

And the fit is far better than those baggy snap on ones that every other person seems to be sporting.
