How does the Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 5 or the Continental PremiumContact 6 compare price wise?
What have you got at the moment? Removing the run flats was the best ‘mod’ I ever did: There are some very good tyre options out there: I’ve had Goodyear eagle F1s and currently on Hankook ventus s1 evo’s I turned my nose up when the tyre fitter suggested them, but have to say they seem the stickiest yet: very little loss in traction on the rears even when trying :wink:

I’ve bought PS4S’s but not on the car yet as I’m not driving it just now so can’t say if they’re best but multiple places doing up to £100 off of 4 Michelin just now so might be more price comparable with cheaper ones after discount applied

Goodyear F1 Asymmetric 5 are brilliant and very competitively priced!
If you do a search there are many posts on tyre choice, I put some info on one of the posts with info from one of the German car rags. F1 asy 5 and PS4 came out tops, the Goodyear will last longer and is superior in some aspects with the PS4 superior in other aspects. Where each was superior the difference was minimal eg braking distance in the wet 30cm difference.
Price meant the PS4 came first but now the F1 is much cheaper and a no brainer imho.
The hankook evo 3 and falken fk510 also came out exceptionally well for wet and dry performance but lost out due to wear not being as good as F1 and PS4.
I wouldn't touch conti, they need revolving every 5k miles or the rears will wear like a threepenny bit.
I went for F1, excellent wet weather grip and a usefully large rim protector...if your missus occasionally gets hold of the keys

PS4 all the way.... Although, I went from run flat Bridgestone RE050s to them, so can’t comment on the others you list. The PS4 sticks so much better than what I previously ran - highly recommended in my book!
You'll find the grip levels from the PS4 impressive. I was out for a bit of a hoon this evening, planted my foot in second on a roundabout and the rear wheels just gripped and pushed me forward, not even a hint of slip.

Get on to Camskill, I ordered a staggered set of PS4’s from them today, £346.90 delivered, having a Local garage fit them for £30 all in.
Probably worth noting that Camskill are one of the cheapest for PS4’s.. this was the best deal I could find, including Costco etc.
They charge the full price £421.90 then do an immediate refund of £75.00 (Michelin Deal).. the physical refund can take a few days to hit your credit card but you get confirmation within 20 mins or so of ordering.
I emailed them a question and their response time was excellent
This deal ends on the 28th so I’d do it tomorrow if you want some.
This is For 2 x 225 40 18 & 2 x 255 35 18 ....so standard sizes
I went with the PS4 in stock 17s and the difference was remarkable. Smother ride, quieter, much better handling ! But don't take my word for it...the proof was in my wife's bottom That's right
Weeks later she rode in it and remarked at how much better the car was riding since her last trip. Unsolicited praise about my car from a woman who scorns everything I - well, maybe not everything... But that was priceless.

Grip was great, but not very progressive, held on well but when it let go did it with some bite.
Also, found them a bit hard, which really surprised me, as had them in run flat guise on my F11 5 series and they were brilliant, didn't feel like a run flat at all.
So went with PS4s on the Z coupe a couple of weeks ago. So, so, so much better than the run flats on there and feel great, very progressive, great grip and excellent turn in. However, I wish I had gone up a profile on front and rear for a bit more bite on our crappy roads. 225.45.18 and 255.40.18 I think would be far better.
