Tire Stagger Question

I currently have 4X Bridgestone Potenza RE050A 255/35R18 90W and I've been looking around for new tires. I think im going to stick with RFT and get Michelin PS2, but while i was looking i noticed something strange. Is it weird that i have the same tires on the front and rear? When i searched for tires online, the website was recommending staggered setup for the 3.0i sport. (I'm not sure if i have sport suspension. How can i check?)
FRONT: 225/40 R18 88W
REAR: 255/35 R18 90W

I can't imagine how the car drives with 255's RTF's on the front, must be all over the place through tram-lining. You are correct with the sizes, also check the alloy widths these should be 8" front and 8.5" rears.

If you have the "Sport Button" then you also have Sport suspension. This will be true for all 2003 3.0i US models.

Yeah. its quite obnoxious, but i think i got use to it. I dont know why, but i guess it is slightly easier for tire rotations.

I have the button. Thanks.

JohnnyC, I had a 2003 3.0i with Sport package and I ran 235/40-18 (Front) & 265/35-18 (Rear). That combination gave great handling and filled the wheel wells nicely without any rubbing. Also a lot of choices in that size combo....

Thanks. I was asking because the tread on my Front Right and Back Left are more worn than the others. It was ~3/32 and very uneven wear. Lots of wear on the inside.

Update:
I took it in today and they were able to take the wheels off. The rims were correctly sized. They remounted the good tires (~6/32" of tread) on the rear and i got a new set of 225/40R18 88W on the front.

JohnnyC, with uneven wear as you describe I'd get a 4 wheel alignment done too... Else you may end up with the same issue down the line.

Yeah. The place i bought the tires didnt do alignments. The pressures were a bit low when i took it in. Now they are at 33psi F/ 36psi R

Is there anything i should be aware of when i take it in for an alignment? I want it to be done correctly, but i dont want to take it to the dealer (they want $300).
