Tire ratings

Forgive my ignorance, but I have never purchased performance tires before.

The Original Equipment Tire Size. On my Z4 3.0i is 225/45R17 91W. It is time to replace them and I am looking at a set Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2 tires. Checking on line they do not come in a 91W only 91Y; as I do not really know what that means, can I use them on the Z4 without a problem?

91W & 91Y refers to the speed rating, W rated for 168mph/ 270kph......Y rated for 186mph/ 300kph

Thanks for the response. I thought that might be the case but wasn't sure. Looks like either one is a couple miles per hour faster than I am likely to drive (no matter what my wife may have said) :evil:
