So... F1s are out of stock. Do I get the PS3s for the same price or wait for the F1s to come back?

RFT tyres dramatically increase the effective spring rate of the tyre, it's a big enough difference to change the chassis dynamics. Worse than this because RFT tyres can't maintain as consistent a contact patch with the ground as non-RFT tyres. So no only have you biased your car towards under/over steer you've also introduced a variance into that balance. I have no idea what the driving aids will make of it all as they'll try to dial out the bias you've caused by the tyres not being matched.djstan said:Garvin said:It's not illegal but let's just say the handling is likely to be 'interesting' and, personally, I would not recommend it!djstan said:What's the situation with mixing RFTs on the front with non-RFTs on the back? At the risk of sounding like a complete imbecile, can I ask why?
Would it not just be the same as having a different brand of tyre on the different axles? I know this isn't ideal but I wasn't aware that it would turn into a death-trap as a result...
If the only driving is town/city driving at town/city speeds would it make any difference in real terms?

Has anyone driven both? Are the Michelins much harder and do they really offer more mileage?
Phoned insurance and they don't care about what tire I am running, no impact!
