Tiptoed through the tulips

 Mostly Holland. Sometimes UK.
Went a tiptoeing through the tulpen today at Lisse with my good ladyfriend Laura.
Weird to see the place so devoid of tourists and camper-vans, it's usually chockablock.
The fields were relatively bare as the farmers had cut most of the heads to deter people from coming but we still managed to find some nice patches of colour here and there.

Yes. I saw video of the Japanese cutting millions of the young flowers off to deter visitors.

We enjoyed a few hours in Amsterdam on our way home from New Zealand. No Tulips in January though. :wink:
