Tips on disabling passenger seat belt gong?

So this is one of the most searched topics around but i cannot seem to reproduce the inteded result unlike the others. My use case is simple: I work 6 days a week, so i always have my bag on the passenger seat. I was wondering how i can disable the gong but still keep the warning light on a 2003 Z4. the variant with the annoying buzzer as a gong.

I changed SBR_BEIFAHRER in my AKMB module to nicht_aktiv however, it removes the sound and the seatbelt light too. would prefer to at least have the light as i have some passengers that forget to use the seatbelt

I coded my 6 series with the Carly ap and obs. Took all the seatbelt warnings bings off but had the choice to keep the light on the dash

Thought about this but it defeats the prupose, since right now i just attach the seatbelt to stop the gong from going on. Im wondering if it was never an option for the 2003 models, maybe because its an older KMB module?

If your bag is heavy enough to trigger the occupancy sensor, it would be sensible to secure it in case of an accident anyway...and you could, er, use the seat-belt for that :wink:

Alternatively, put the bag in the footwell :?

The bag is definitely not heavy. ive even had a bigmac with fries trigger the seat occupancy sensor
I think its a common thing with the zed, right? the seat occupancy sensor is too sensitive. i recall seeing it in some review videos before i made the purchase.

For now i keep the bag in the boot but my work bag was one of the examples. Every now and then i have some extra stuff or a quick couple of pizza boxes that i just place on the passenger seat, but i have to always reel the seatbelt in haha

Yes I have found the sensor to be extremely sensitive.

The first time taking my Z to the gym I felt my spirit leave my body as my bag set the gongs for the occupant sensor off without me knowing what they were for.
