Tiny squeak when brakes released

Lately I've been hearing a quiet tiny trumpet like sound from somewhere underneath the steering wheel. It appears when I release the brakes and shuts up immediately if I press the brakes again even very lightly.
If I don't press the brakes, the sound will fade out in ~10s and during this it's frequency will slowly raise.

I only hear this when the car is stationary and even when I turn the engine off. But the sound is probably there also when I'm driving, I just can't hear it then.

It also happens that when I reapply the brakes to shut the sound, when I release the pedal, it sounds again. Sometimes it does so even 2 or 3 times, while sometimes it doesn't appear back already in first try.

Braking is otherwise totally normal, I haven't experienced any hard pedal or anything.

Any idea?

I discovered that the sound comes from somewhere around the servo drum unit, but couldn't locate it before it faded away.
If there is a vacuum leak, would it be possible that there is no effect on braking power at all?

Probably is. I have a different problem but I think that I also have a vacuum leak.

My problem is hard brake pedal when the car is off, even after a few minutes and without pressing previously. When I am starting a car, the brakes don't work (hard pedal), but they are completely fine when the car is on.

Mine squeak when I drive off, really embarrassing  edit, sorry, just noticed I already said a few posts ago. Old age.
