Tinting Windows

Folks, i request input from the collective group wisdom of the forum.

I'm buying a new vehicle, but it's rear glass isn't the factory 'privacy' glass, so would like to resolve that. I imagine replacing all of the glass isn't very cost effective, so wondering where do chavs get their windows professionally tinted these days, and to what % of tint?

any recommendations in the South East/London area?

also, are they actually professional or does it still look shitty, circa Max Power in 1993?

I havnt used them but one that I have always heard about is Pentagon Glass Tech and they seem to have branches all over the UK.
As well as tinting the windows it also makes them harder to smash.

Thanks Nictrix, i had found Pentagon mentioned elsewhere too.

FWIW - i gave the local branch a call (tintyourglass.co.uk in Reading) and the guy was friendly and helpful, various levels of film quality (only really differing around £70 for the best/worst (cheapo vs 3M) for the rear of my new car.

Total price for 3M with lifetime guarantee is £265+VAT.

Confirmed local dealers use the same guys (BMW, Merc, Audi, JLR) too so must be reasonable.

I'll ask my detailer for his thoughts.
