Tinted PPF headlights

Fitted ..... Love them. Fitment is inch perfect. But..... Here's the down side not an easy installation. I install PPF day in day out on some of the rarest and awkward vehicles out... I'd rate this 5/10 for difficulty.
The scan was perfect but due to the curvature of the light it needs a slightly stretch to get it to where it needs to be ... The scan has taken account for this on the cut piece . But the scan and cut from the machines are so clean it looks like it came from the factory like this .
Very pleased with the look and really adds some nice aggression to the front end which imo looks a little tame.
So to recap this is proper PPF that's tinted so the light has protection from chips etc and UV damage ... It's thinner than your conventional bodywork PPF but still has solid protection capacity.
Now I've got the scan I can make them in clear PPF or these tinted versions. ill get it out the dark garage tomorrow and take some daylight pics. Last pic is truest to what my eyes see.... look forward to seeing it outside tomorrow but got pretty tired messing around in such a tight space.
Overall nice cheeky little project that ive enjoyed creating and love the look of. Win win.

however bare in mind , crystal clear is available . im just giving it that SALT BAE extra spice :rofl: primary function of this is HEADLIGHT protection, not the tinted aspect. if anyones wants a set drop me a DM and ill get a few sets sorted.

agreed its rather dark in that garage and cramped... so these pics are showing quite dark. again the last pic is truest to me eye as the door is opn and a moment of sun happened :driving: it looks extremely cool tho!

thanks buddy, enjoyed having a little play with this.... plus i love the fact the light is ppf'd as i mentioned before id already replaced one due o a rock strike.... and i almost fainted with the price!!
I can see the tint looking pretty mean on a black car but I’m not sure if it’s a bit ‘badman’! The clear ppf would definitely be useful though.
Beedub-On headlights less pristine than yours, that have lots of small chips and marks, how would the ppf go down? Would it make it difficult to remove bubbles or get a professional finish?

great question... on pot marked / battle scarred headlights you'll see a slight raised section on the affected area, it shouldn't make install any more difficult than it already IS. The only issue i see here is that installing them in general is pretty difficult... the light is very curved so getting the right techniques to install wont be the easiest.... its very doable but then, i feel my measure of whats doable by the average consumer may be somewhat off.
Clear PPF is Suntek Reaction film ( im a suntek install centre) so this isnt cheap ebay crap, we are talking top tier PPF.
Tinted PPF is Hexis BLACKLIGHT - A proper PPF specifically designed for tail ad headlights.
Both are self healing with steam or hot water and will protect from UV degradation and stone chips.
more importantly , you question highlights exactly why you'd want to protect the lights, not only are these lights insanely expensive but parts are getting more and more difficult to get hold of. Ive got a scan of the whole car and have a complete front end PPF kit for car.
