Tinny doors

I've been thinking of dynamating the inner doors as well. Compared to my e36 m3 and e46 m3, the Z4 doors closing sounds downright cheap. Don't get me started on the 'squeaks' you hear anytime you press on a plastic part of the interior. :|

While I know it's for 'weight savings', and Boxster doors sound similar when they close. (I had one before)... I'm still a little embarassed by it. Doesn't sound 'solid' with the echo inside the door. Dynamat should fix that right up.

my 330 has a very solid sound to the doors.every time I shut the tinny zed doors I no the car is striped to the bone for weight :D puts a smile on my face as I no what sort of a drive I am in for,Horses for courses. 8)

Right.......... :tumbleweed:

I think all of you are giving BMW way too much credit: I think they simply forgot... Than someone said "Ya ya... Sound like can of krauten... Nein Nein!!!!"... So with the restyle they added some... Just sayin...

I'm sure I can save the added weight by remember to poo before I drive

Just a thought but if you fit any kind of sound deadening to the inner side of the door skin surely you've potentially lost any chance of having those nasty little supermarket dings removed by your friendly dent removal man, oops sorry person.

Might be wrong though.

That is very true! But the car is a sociopath and rarely hang out around crowds...
