Evening all,

The Mrs is looking for an E89 and we viewed two today.

The first was a 2015 15 plate the second was a 66 plate, both had brown chain guides not white??

I’m really confused, as I was convinced from everything I’d read that the 66 plate would have the later white guides… any ideas?

She’s happy to spend more for a later car, but doesn’t want to then spend £1k sorting out old style timing chain guides :(

Did you find the production date ?…some cars were in UK stock for over 10 months ?

No, not yet, but surely a 66 plate must have been built second half of 2015?

At least it’s not an Audi 😉

Yes, we’ve seen one of the immaculate TTS you could possibly hope for today, but the colour wasn’t right and the Mrs much preferred the interior of the E89

Common sense will prevail. 😁
I know there’s the big RWD discussion but one thing that does do is create a transmission tunnel that cocoons the driver and somehow makes you feel you are sitting within the car, not on top of it.

It was important that she came to her own conclusion that she needs an E89. :D

It appears some slipped through..I did see somewhere that the revised kits came in April 2015..

But that is the car manufacturing date.
Could well have been a stockpile of engines still waiting to be fitted.
