Time to take her on holiday...

Right - after a year of ownership (and having searched to make sure this request ain't covered elsewhere -which is sort of is not) it is time to take the silver bullet (e85 silver roadster) on a trip down to the Sarf of France.

Plan is to go from Normandy (Honfleur to be precise) down to Loire then onto Cannes area then back via provence. Obviously this can all be done on motorways but I was wondering whether any of you have found some good drives that (broadly) follow this route?

Any advice greatfully received as I count down the days to FREEDOM!

Thanks

Honfleur a real gem . but then france has endless great places to see en route to any destination , , ,all depends if you want to enjoy getting there or just get there & enjoy it ?
Cannes in august ? not for me i'm afraid , ,fantastic out of season but july/aug it would be the Languedoc region for me

I advise you to take THE route to go to south of france: the Nationale 7.
There are plenty of websites about it.

Here is a famous gas station (still functionnal of course)

Guess REIMS might not be on your route - but nice photo op alongside the old GP paddock if you do :) (That's a heavily used public road on the foreground)

Oh man that would make some nice apartments!

Thanks for response... Nationale 7 looks like a potential goer as the original route du sud. Reims might be a bit far out from route.

Merci incassable - a tu visiter la N7 auparavant? y-a-t-il des aspects de la route qui sont mieux que d'autres?

I am lucky enough to know Normandy very well - Honfleur is truely lovely and there are some lovely drives around there. In particular the one between it and Deauville along the coast road (traffic permitting!) as the sun is going down - this is why I bought the roadster..... :)

Thanks chaps!
