Time to sharpen the porsches...

Been using porsche chromo 301 steel kitchen knives? They're fantastic, sharp and great handling, but I can feel they aren't slicing as easy as they should. Need to get them sharpened but need to get a whetstone first... but the stone grind compounds and methods are too much of a pfaff, or is that the best way?

Any suggestions?

I got some coloured knives and found them pretty sharp. They were just cheap things though.

Maybe buy some new knives?

lol, yep sometimes the easy option is indeed the easy option, but these were an anniversary present a while back, probably a couple of hundred quids worth of finger slicing kitchen tech :)

These are by far the best hassle free way I've found of sharpening my kitchen knives...

Treated myself to a set of Globals a while back and this water sharpener keeps them like razors with virtually no effort.

You can pick them up in John Lewis.

What a great thread this could be;we just need some pictures of our favourite knives.Mine is a Nieto lock knife that i've had for about 10 years and it's invaluable for opening over zealously wrapped E-bay parcels :D

Mhmm, don't want to give any reason for the po-po to break down my door for illegal sharp steels :(
