Well I have taken the jump, and have bought a Boxster 2.7

The M235 was lovely to look at it but just didn't feel special enough and if I had got it, I would have wanted the convertible when it came out. I can't explain it, but the the Boxster drives so differently, it's so precise, it's very hard to explain.

Hope you stick around Stark.

Nice looking car

Don't like the way that dealer Photoshop's the cars in front of the showroom

It's not as fast granted but it's top end is 167.... So that's good haha

But I am more pleased by the way it drives and it sounds lovely too. That engine behind your head makes it sit so well and handle wonderfully. The sound, wow......I looked at a Cayman too, but the Boxster gives me a convertible which I think I would miss if I didn't have one

Congrats ... That's what I'd have gone for over the two no question about it. The m235 is a brilliant car, but can't help thinking how irritated I'd be with a 218 with a few ticks on the list looking exactly the same.

Look,s swell mate & the 2.7 will produce enough for most folks .
I actually like the OTT Porscheness of the advert , it,s hardly subtle but then the whole brand is built on kudos so you have to expect to see it at every opportunity they get

It sounded great by the way. Just can't get over how precise the car was to drive. Some reviews say the 2.7 is better....? But anyway I'm over the moon

Woohoo congratulations, not jealous at all, no not one damn bit :D

....was at the stealers yesterday for a service and had a long drool in an SL, great discounts to be had but I need to keep mine for a bit longer boooo

I looked at an SL but the new SL400 is too new and depreciation would rock you harder than a 6 Series.

I looked at an M4 today too...but.....

Thanks Sars.... :D

A Cayman rather than a Boxster but the 2.7 looks and goes pretty well in this EVO comparison with the M235i.

Much as I think the M235i is a nice car I think you definitely made the right choice Stark.

Congratulations. If you get the same service I do from Porsche Chester then you will enjoy the whole experience of owning a great car.The best service I've had from any manufacturer. They really make you feel so special.

So what is the colour then? The link is going to a yellow one whilst the image above is grey?

If it is used, do you still get the track day?

Congrats on the purchase

Rhys good point. The BMW dealership was full of smooth talking wide boys, whereas the Porsche centre, no pressure, very laid back and very knowledgeable staff. I heard them explaining the design of the new Meccan, and was very impressed.

Just very professional and the guys know their cars very very well.

It's one of things that tempted me away.

OG thanks for that, I will take look.

I have been told that pre owned Porsche are prepped within an inch of their lives. Even wheel refurbs have to go back to HQ UK.

Not much discount, but hey, it's a lovely car.

Thanks PVR, the link still works, but yes it's Agate grey. I thought of White but the Agate looks very special.

And yes I have a track day thrown in, flowers and some luggage.

Not excited excited as a little sad I am saying goodbye to the E89 and also my association on here

Did not seem to stop me :D

Do you have the memory seats? If so, nice little touch is that you can adjust the passenger side mirror exactly to what you want it to do in reverse, i.e. unlike the BMW it is not a fixed dip, but you can set it exactly to what you want.

Loving that colour though, very nice.

You can download the entire Porsche manual on your iPhone as well, quite handy as the manuals are huge in paper form. Also the aha radio app is not bad where you can stream anything onto the PCM from your iPhone.

You will notice that the 20" wheels are actually way more comfortable and forgiving in ride quality compared to the BMW run flat / suspension combination.

Congratulations Stark - looks lovely, don't be a stranger at all

The flowers are a suitably gay touch too :P
