Time for a Change

I think you'll find it hard to replace the Z4M with something that feels similar. Jag's nice but you're not old enough yet! AMV would be good  Nissan might be too clinical for you and besides you can't take the roof off  :)

I would only change my car for a V8 and my list consists of:
E92 M3
Mustang (supercharged)
Corvette C6 or C5 zo6
Maybe a new camaro

Probably worth having a look at these, cheap as chips to run (except fuel) & maintain - exclusive and also you can't beat an american V8 for noise.

Again, thanks for the responces folks :)

I have experienced the GTR as a passenger and can sum it up in one word, staggering! I do think the running costs would be much more than the cars in my shortlist and, I want to stick to my original remit; I need a V8 8)

Some more thoughts on my decision -
  • Every time I see this car (and it's not very often) I think it looks fantastic.
  • The more I read about the specification, stats, technology, engine, the more impressed I am.
  • When I was sat in the car last weekend, Kathryn said something she did not say about the other cars in the list, "that, is the car for you"!

The dealer was excellent giving me as much time as I needed looking around the car, checking out the various functions, and letting the engine reach operating temperature before driving. I had a good test drive of over an hour on all road types, which really gave me proper feel for the car. After kicking around some numbers we came to a deal I was happy with. They're fitting a Tracker to give me more options on the insurance front. I'm picking the car up on Saturday.

Have I made the right choice? Who knows, only time will tell. I'm sure any of the cars would be great but, for me, right now, I'm more than happy with my decision.

I had a shot in my pals GTR...It was (as above) staggering, but left me feeling a bit numb! It's just that power and that ability to tune! It would tempt me. Does better MPG than our Z4's too!

Got it :)

Not had chance to get my plate transfered yet, but you get the idea

The handover was amazing. I had my own room where the car was presented on a turntable. Done about 130 miles today and just fitted a set of black grills

Hey congratulations, I only noticed you changed your car by accident as I was re reading some of your old roads trips for inspiration for my next road trip and noticed your signiture and saw you now owned an M3.

As others have said stick around it will be great to hear how you get on with the new car and looking forward to hearing about your first road trip

That's exactly what Blacklines has done too.. white M3V8.

Beautiful car & re-reading ur teasers I completely agree.. How are you going to cope with a roof though :(

I’ve seen very few cars on 18’s, most are spec’ed with 19’s, so I specifically wanted 18’s just to be different. Should also help the ride/handling and save me a few £££ when the time comes for new rubber.

It's an MY 2010 car with DCT and EDC.

I'm more used to this type of gearbox now, Kathryn having the DSG in the Titty. The box in the M is so much smoother though.
