Go for it Byron. I love the look of these.
I know owners who say they've had issues with their cars, but I still would own one if I won the Lottery.

If u can get it at the right price for you, then why not.
Colour is great too

On face value, it’s a lot more special than a highly evolved Boxster! Interesting that you’ve ended up looking at McLarens, that’s where my money would go too.

agreed! it feels way more special and drive...... OMG..... something else. The car has dropped again today so ill be back on the phone tomorrow trying to work a deal.

Thats a stunning car Byron, just wait and the price will drop I am pretty certain he's not selling them that quickly.

its come down abit..... but it shows over overprice it is.... its been dropped by 5k.... it needs to come down by another 3 but im going to call tomorrow to see if i can persuade it down. I'm on the mclaren forums and they say the interior makes this car pretty undesirable, which is strange as i loved the leather dash, the Alcantara dash is the one they all want.

they have issues because owners like to create fireballs by revving the nuts off them at a stand still.

the panels corrode due to a moisture issue at painting

the engines need to be warmed up

the door hinges crack

and the windscreens crack for no reason LOL.

General fit and finish issues,

it will definitely need to be pampered, am i worried.... yes i am, i cant lie. This is a huge investment and marketing tool for us it needs to work.

Bloody thing looks stunning and would have no issues with Lthr dash - I am sure they will drop the price if pushed.

I know a Really good garage that sells high end stuff - had 2 Mac in there when I picked up my M4 which was the cheapest car in the place.

i honestly really liked the leather dash, i felt it looked great and always wanted it in my z4. The seats are apparently also a big no no on the 600 LT again, i REALLY liked them.

side note the mclaren forum is a GREAT place it seems... really nice guys.... im enjoying researching and being part of the club.

I have an alcantara dash in my Exige and it’s a PITA to keep clean. There’s no advantage to it either - seats and steering wheel for a car that regularly sees track use makes sense, but not the top of the dashboard.
Perhaps in a few years, the ‘unique spec’ of this car will add rarity value!
Good luck with the negotiations

Go for it bud, hope you can work out a deal

Trying my hardest bud,

i've never purchased a car of this value so im more than happy to be open and honest about it and i can say financing is not as straight forward as i thought it would be, the options are very difficult to choose whats right , the APRs are due to drop so do you hold out? theirs so many factors to consider everyone just seems to want to throw me into deals to suit them so i'm literally in conversation with 3 or 4 brokers one tells me one thing, the other says the other one is trying to sway me for their benefit, ( oracle seem the best so far) but its kind of exhausting but its good to know for future purchases!

Why don’t you contact JayEmm (you tuber) and ask his advice. I seem to remember a few years ago he was trying to finance an F430 and had similar issues. Oracle rings a bell from one of his videos back then. He comes across as a nice enough bloke and seems fairly down to earth, so I would be surprised if he just ignores you or tells you to go away!

I also like the leather, my dash is full leather but the A pillars and ceiling are all Alcantara. Thankfully, my steering wheel is leather as well and not Alcantara as I really don't like the feel of that.

Don't know anything about finance though so can't help on that side.

General fit and finish issues,

I shall be having words with my God-son, then. He does the final quality control inspections at McLaren! :o

And, No, I don't think I can get any discounts! :P

Only if we can all test drive the car

Have you tried Lilian Stanley for finance - that who Petrol Per used for his Boxster and now 911
