Time for a Change?? Z4MC to M4? DCT or Manual?

I think the majority of the BMW lineup is pretty.. fail.. at the moment. It's even more funny when you go in a branch and discover a new entire range youve never heard of before.

911 isn't quite as practical really, though is a nice car. You do get more power in the M4 though, and it's newer.

Personally for 40k I would try to buy a used Gen 2 997s

Same here. I wouldn't look at anything else as a one car does all.

Not sure the cricket bag will fit in a 997.....not really a practical car for me. Would love a 911 one day though.

RS3 doesn't appeal really, it's only available in S-Tronic (which rules it out for me immediately) and the £20k difference isn't really £20k. The M4 actually comes very well equipped, so you don't need to add a huge number of extras. To get the Audi to a comparable spec you'll be looking at closer to £48 - 50k, so really only an £10 -12k difference.

It doesn't look 'special' to me either, the M4 has real road presence, not sure the RS3 would.

i get a full set of golf clubs in the 997 ....made easier with the Targa hatch

if you think 997 give Mark @ Stirlings a call , he's well regarded on 911uk and always has some time for a chat with a perspective 911 owner, one of his latest
