Tiff Needell is back on TV tonight

Because I prefer to be enclosed with the aircon on. Every time I drove a convertible I just felt grubby, dusty and dirty afterwards and taking in everyone fumes. I owned 3 Saab turbos, MX5, BMW 330c and a Honda S2k, I also think that the coupe versions have better lines, hence better looking. I have owned 47 cars to date and I’m sure I will have a few more, just not another convertible!

All noted I’ve only had 37 cars..5 convertibles...maybe you should move to Scotland where the air is clean and you leave a convertible feeling like you’ve been dipped in the ice cold water dip after a sauna, refreshed and revitalised? :thumbsup:

I leave my air conditioning / cruise control /auto / leather seats to my Volvo XC70..

But then again if you had an E89 you have all that plus a coupe.. :thumbsup:
 
Good point, but I had to move here because of my job! However what about the point that a coupe looks soooo much better!
 
Coupes do look better than 3 box variants...

Almost all fabric dropheads look much better top down than either their fixed roof cousins or the fabric top up

Personally I think almost any fabric drop head (top down) looks better than any coupe..

Targa type sports car are an acceptable compromise...

The E89 looks great top down, but not, IMHO quite as good as an E85 top down

The E89, IMHO, looks almost as good as an E86 top up..

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder..

And as I said environmental issues impact these things....sitting in stop start traffic on a dull day in a city top down doesn’t seem like a great thing..however in open country having the top down almost all times when it’s not raining seems like the right thing to do :thumbsup:
