May not have punctured Pete :? Well away from sidewall so take to a tyre place just in case it deflates once removed :thumbsup:
 
i'm leaving it in until tomorrow then i will drive to a tyre place then pull it out, i'm not sure if its punctured or not

TPMS should tell you if it starts dropping air :thumbsup:
 
Oof I had that exact same thing on the Merc not long back. I thought just remove it and when I did Pshhhhh. New 19" run flat time. Only had 5k on it but too close to the wall of the tyre to fix. Grr.
 
Oh that's so annoying ! Hopefully the screw is a short one. Looks fine for a repair though. Had one recently in same spot on OSR of my wifes Freelander2 which is on 19" Pirelli Scorpion Verde All - seasons ! Repair has been fine.
 
Just recently replaced my back two RFT 255/30 R19 Bridgestones. I knew one had a small nail embedded in it and no local tyre dealers offered to remove it stating that that RFTs could not be repaired. I called Bridgestone directly and the tech I spoke to said that was nonsense so I monitored the pressure initially daily and there was no pressure loss at all.

Finally replaced the back two due to wear at 15k miles. Cost almost £400 :headbang:
It turned out both old tyres had nails embedded!

Is that an RFT or should I not be asking this sensitive question :D

the tyre is the rear off side of the roadster, its not a run flat and to me i think its repairable

tyres are getting a bit down though so if i have to replace i'm not that phased
 
Had similar on my Skoda which runs up and down the motorway for 250 miles a trip so asked if a repair would last and be safe - was told it would out last the tyre and it did! :thumbsup:

But only if you're driving as it uses the ABS wheel speed sensors, rather than active pressure sensors on each wheel.
 
first job this morning was to go to the garage

as soon as the screw was removed you could hear the air coming out. fortunately it was repairable, cost £10 :)

Turned out well for you,what was it by the way with the retained washer??
Looks like some kind of panel retaining screw.....only asking as I had something similar happen to me and just after my car was in for service work.........I came to the conclusion that it picked up the "screw" in the workshop and it embedded in the tyre.....no come back of course and I didn't bother approaching the service dept about it.Mine was definately a screw of the type to retain wheel arch liners,etc as I had it repaired at the house by my preferred tyre guy.

ye something like that, i've no idea where i picked it up, the car as not moved since the end of december and i picked the screw up on the first day i put it back on the road :headbang:
