Tibetan Monastery in Scottish Borders Country.

My wife asked me to take her shopping on Sunday - at Gretna Green Outlet Mall - 300 miles round trip.

We went down via A701 from Edinburgh to Moffat then on the A74M to Gretna.
On the way back I headed up the A7 to Langholm then took the B709 to Eskdalemuir and found this place:-

Samye Ling Tibetan Monastery.

Interesting place. Just been having a look at their website, quite fancy doing a 4 year retreat although my work might have something to say :rofl:

When I was there on Sunday they were celebrating the Monastery's anniversary.
There was loads of free food, pakhoras, samosas, sandwiches, plus soft drinks, tea and coffee. :thumbsup:
