I guess the answer is to ask the guard "If I ask you which door to go through, what would you say"? then go through whichever one he says?

Erm...sorry, but no - yours would not work.
If you simply asked your question "If I ask you which door to go through, what would you say"? then....
Let's say again that the Door A leads to the Supercharger....
If you ask the honest guard, he will honestly tell you to go through Door A (to the Supercharger).
If you ask the lying guard, he will lie and tell you to go through Door B (to the crusher).
BUT you don't know which is the honest guard and which is the lying guard, so with your question, how would you know to go through Door A with your ONE question then!?![]()

No. I put my question within a question. I'm not saying "Which door should I go through" im asking them what they'd say IF I asked the question. An ask within an ask.
If I ask truthful guard "What door should I go through", he'd say A.
If I ask lying guard "What door should I go through, he'd say B.
But if I ask the truthful guard "What would your answer be if I asked you the question "What door should I go through", he'd truthfully tell me he'd say A if asked the question.
However, if I ask the lying guard "What would your answer be if I asked you the question "What door should I go through", his answer to the question itself would be B, but because i'm asking him a question ABOUT a question, he wouldn't tell me truthfully what his answer would be, so he'd have to lie and say A.
Thus I'd know to go through A. A positive and a positive equals a positive, but a negative and a negative also equals a positive![]()
