pretty slim chance i reckon, talking about blonde moments, beat this one... my daugter was a bit late for work as due to a thunderstorm the power tripped out so se couldnt dry her hair, the boys at work were teasing her for being late when she says," your lucky my car headlights didnt trip out too then i couldnt have got to work at all !!! :headbang: :tumbleweed:
 
I agree with the incomplete protection due to not being in a complete Faraday cage. Unless the electronics school misinformed me. But. Even if the strike hit the a pillar and didn't shock you. It would probably set fire to the roof fabric. :poke:

I had a near miss while riding a motorcycle in a storm in 1983. The bolt hit about 100-200 ft away. While I didn't take a direct hit. There was enough static discharge that I still got a hell of a shock that went from my left hand that was touching the clutch lever and went all the way to my left knee and through the fuel tank. Holy crap did that hurt. Loud as hell to. I was unable to use my left arm for a few minutes. But I was able to complete my journey. The bike was unaffected and didn't miss a beat. Even after that. I don't hesitate to go out in a storm on a bike or the Zed. If it's my time to die. I'll die no matter what I'm doing. So I'd rather die having fun as opposed to sitting on the toilet and having a lightening bolt travel up the pipes toasting me plums.
