How come Waitrose sells seedless clementines then as differently marked to other clementines??

I've defenitely found pips in the non seedless clementines that I bought when they didn't have the seedless ones in
 
Well it doesn't specifically mention mandarin oranges and its derivatives in the article. I think Waitrose just put seedless on there to alert their customers to the fact that this is a genus of mandarin orange that is seedless, as unlike other better informed people they might otherwise think it is like a tangerine and have seeds. This would be a selling feature particularly important to people with young children, the elderly, etc. . It could have been that you ate a mislabelled tangerine.
 
Hmm it would seem that clementines can loose their seedless characteristic if cross pollinated with other citrus fruits so maybe the ones they sell which are labeled as seedless are grown in such a way that they can't be cross pollinated.

A mate of mine has actually been hit by lightning!!

I stay very close to him as it never strikes the same place twice right!!

I don't think it's something that likely to happen. But then we all worry about things that seem silly to others. If I remember I will ask a professor at work tomorrow.

It's legal if you have a hands-free kit - Mrs B peels mine when we are driving together :D
 
if its your time to go, you will get hit, if it's not you won't
If its your time and you somehow protect yourself from the lightning strike, he will just collect you in some other way... why worry?

you could also make a series of films based around it..... :thumbsup:

I like the thinking here... basically, if you're worried about lightning, just start eating satsumas - suddenly the odds of getting hit by lightning at the same time drop dramatically! :D
