Thud Noise

lol, its when i change gear quickly when on the move. Its not a bad sound nor does it sound like anything is wrong...was wondering if it was the CDV? im not even sure what this is.....

CDV is related to your gearbox/clutch, not likely related to anything at the rear of the car. That thus is likely drivetrain slack (driveshaft/diff) or a drivetrain/diff issue.

Sounds like the drive train shock. All performance cars do it, check the Top Gear special where they drag race the Ferrari 458 and SLS AMG. Specifically listen to the Ferrari James is in when he first tries launch control, you'll hear a thud as it all engages.

The hard part is to know the difference between normal slack take-up and a malfunctioning component. It takes experience and being there. There's a number of things that go thud that really need attention. I sure hope it's just slack take-up for your sake!

It used to do it in both my TVRs, its not a bad noise, it kinda sounds like its part of the car..i like it...so im not worried about it. I think it will just be the drive train...thanks guys.
