So a friend of mine was keen on a Z4 after having a blast in my shitter.
Took one out today and all was fine but it gave a very dull thud through the car when changing gear. It went into gear fine, pulled fine, no crunching etc but this dull thud was ever present unless mashed into gear at high revs.
Would this a shagged box mount? And are they a pig to change? Everything about the motor was pretty damn good.
 
Knackered propshaft donut coupling I'd suggest - not a difficult job to replace but you have to drop the exhaust first.
