i have had my car nearly 3 months now , and the 2nd owner from new, now i have know idea how the previous owner drove his car, everyones different.
so i reset the throttle response back to factory default , following the guide in the ' how to ' section.

Turn ignition off
Turn key to "on" position
Wait 15 seconds
Turn ignition off
Wait another 15 seconds

Start the car.... you should find the responsiveness has been reset

so now the car learns how you drive and adapts.

the difference for me was great, its a bit quicker, smoother into gears, especially 1st gear from standing, previously it snatched all the time when setting off.

i tried it last night....but felt no different
not sure i did it right however, do u turn the key one or two clicks?
and i also may not have waited a full 15 seconds...the mrs was with me and had no idea what i was doing so i kinda rushed...

the memorising of driving characteristics is with auto boxes :? i doubt you would notice anything with manual box :D

Its just the gear change is for auto's only

have never heard of the throttle reset function but always willing to learn :)
worry not Woots . i,l share your embarrassment :D

BTW / i can do the throttle tweak on mine in one move taking under a second

You do have to wait the full 15 secs - any less and it won't work, just like doing the windows reset.
