Three lanes

They've spent shed loads of cash over years to create a good third lane on the A1 around Gateshead - it seems like a nice well thought out bit of road engineering.

But why do the pillocks still insist on using only TWO lanes - it's a 50mph limit and they all trickle along in lane 2 & 3 :headbang:

It does get frustrating doesn't it, so if you're on the inside lane, do you undertake or overtake these numpty's

Yes!
Taking my old disco3 into the Bmw dealer yesterday (trade in) I just tricked past them at about 45 on the inside! - I don't see what or why there seems to be such a stigma re the inside lane. It was completely empty.

It's taken them years to create a nicely improved road for them to ignore - it's about time plod started to do some nicking !

Quite agree, see it every day. just treat the inside as my own personal lane, its filtering not undertaking!!!!

The same Buggers that only use lanes 3&4 out of the 4 lane M1 in Derbys / Notts :headbang:

Same on dual carriageways, people have to hog the right lane 10mph under the limit just because they are turning right 3 roundabouts and 5 junctions 5 mile up the road

Whats a 'commute'?! How the other half live.

Ah, happy days in the sleepy backwater of Dumfries here - I feel your pain. There was a dingy blocking the slip the other day, grrr.

Ying yang I suppose.
