The thread I started earlier today about posting your rides seems to have disappeared.
Has it been deleted or moved?

If so why..??

Mods move threads if they're not in the correct category, happens often. Just seen your pictures one here

its been moved to Gallery.. prob because its not E89 specific :)

If that is the case, its absolutely pants!

Nope, it's just tidier - I can still see it under 'new posts' on my iPad

Correct...I was going to move it but one of the other Mods beat me to it...

I can see your point, but in the same breath if it limits/stops traffic what's the point?
Look at the two threads below..

posts-1.jpg

Note the date they were last posted upon.. a few good weeks going on to over a month .
While it might be in the "right" place and look "tidy" it's no good there if people don't bother posting on it?

Nuff said.

Ajayp, not sure how you look for posts, I found myself flicking back and forth between all the forum heading, when I first started. Took me a while to notice the New Posts option on the rhs top of the page, click on that and you will see all new posts from across all forums.. your posts still proving popular.

Categories are there to keep the 630,000 posts on the forum in order though, and your thread will get found by more people if it is in the right place - either searching or browsing. Threads go through cycles when they get bumped after a while and people then jump on them again. I almost always look at new posts only, and I wander into general threads or the gallery on a whim occasionally... However I never go into the e89 category specifically as I don't have one, so it will end up dead to me (and most other e85/86 owners) eventually unless bumped by an e89 owner... And going back to my initial statement, it'll get bumped more in the right place

It's been a long week so that might need read twice to make sense

I fail to see how it would limit or stop traffic. Actually having a thread that is for pictures of all models of Zeds in the Gallery will likely get more views that being in the E89 Forum since board members that do not have E89's might not go into that forum.

As noted above the best way to see all recent posts is to click on "New Posts"

Also, this thread really does not belong in the E89 Forum since it is about forum operations and is being moved to "Forum Discussion"

Hi Maxsam, I only ever stay on the main page of the section I am concerned about in a forum, so here it's E89 and mine MK2 TT. Then flick among the different forum topics and pages. I never go back out to the index because usually everything I want I can find within and if not then by using the search function.

The New Posts feature is something new to me on this forum. As long as it keeps people like me connected to whats going on outside the main section it's all good.

The point I was trying to make is if it's not in front of people but buried else where, then people are less likely to go hunting outside of where they usually post.
Maybe this is just me but this would limit/stop traffic.

However, I have just learnt about the "New Posts" feature on this forum.

In this case the above situation should not occur and all should be fine.
