Thoughts on the number plate being mounted here?

I know some will point to the air intake being blocked. It would also hide a good chunk of my ZunSport grille, though my shorter plate wouldn't take up as much room as the one in the photo. I've just bought a shorter number plate but since having the old one off I've fallen in love with the plateless look, I just don't dare to go plateless as I don't have the kind of luck to get away with it.

Not sure tbh. I did the same on my old RX8 and that looked sharp. Maybe with the shorter plate it will be better.

It’s not for me I’m afraid, if I saw it on the road I’d think it had been moved for the sake of doing something else to the car. Like you say airflow to the rads would be on my mind as well.

I nearly stole Srhutch’s idea of sticking magnets behind the bumper... that would make running plateless / a small show plate easier. I didn’t have time in the end though so used tape, and have a full size plate with 2 double sided suction cups for MOT day and any other issues that may arise :?

I have a small show plate and a short legal plate. I also have some industrial strength velcro coming tomorrow so swapping between the two plates should be feasible. I was just being a bit creative with my thinking when it comes to where to mount them but it seems as though plain old standard is the way to go

If you like it get it on there

It might look better than it does on that orange car as you have the splitter underneath.

I done that with mine after having the bumper resprayed but put it back up a day laterals I thought it looked shît. It does look so much better plateless but I’d have the same luck as you.

Ok so I'm overthinking the whole placement thing, but what's the preferred option considering I'm plinth-less... a bit of overhang? No overhang?

It seems wherever I place this new shorter plate it just looks a little... erm... odd :|

Have you considered a static plate thats what im crrently using.
Attaches to the bumper with static looks great peels off easily perfect for my needs.LRM_EXPORT_292219788872289_20180831_220140370.jpeg

Considered one but couldn't find one :(

Have you ever been stopped with it?

It is a show plate and I haven't been stopped with it on but as you can see why would I be stopped for the plate? It's the right size and spacing.
