I have been with BMW’s for years (and once worked as a tech there), having owned M3’s and 5’s plus many others. I currently have a 1971 restored 2002 automatic and an 2003 E85 2.5 but I have a hankering for the E89 now.
I have been looking at the 35is and 35i, ideally something that has a decent BMW warranty that I can extend - as I am at the limit of cars I want to self-fix!
The power difference doesn’t really bother me and whilst I liked the old SMG in my E60 M5, I can live without DCT if it means having a car that may be a little less problematic in the future.
What are your thoughts on this manual 35i compared to a DCT 35is? Any other thoughts on this one welcomed.
