Thoughts on Storm Motorwerkz V4 shift knobs?

I think any weighted shifter is a vast improvement over the stock knob tbh.

I was lucky enough to order the Buckley shifter and handbrake set as well as some alu side repeater covers I haven't used yet.
I keep an allen key in the cubby in case if I ever write it off in a crash, then at least I can recover these bits before anyone else gets their sticky little fingers on them lol. That is of course, if I'm still in a fit state to remove them!
Such optimism... :driving:

I find in the summer if the zeds been in the sun all day (on the odd occasion when the sun is out all day) if you get in before putting the roof down for 5 mins they just about give you 3rd degree burns on your left hand.
That reminds me of one particularly hot summer when I was 5, while wearing shorts and jumping into the back of my old man's Ford Cortina GT which had vinyl seats that had been baking in the hot sun all morning.
The pain inflicted to the delicate skin on the back of my legs on contact with the near-molten hot black vinyl was something akin to a wasp sting, times 50.
I've never been able to look at vinyl the same way since.
:o

I know that feel.. When I grew up in Dubai, the seatbelt + strap was my worst enemy.. they are extra painful when the temps hit 50-51 celcius

Finally came in. Definitely happy with it. The leather is a bit loose on the stitch end, is this normal? (for those that have V4)

I had one of these in my coupe. I really liked it, but the leather collar did have a tendency to slip round, so the stitching (which Is slightly raised) was never where I wanted it.

As someone who 'makes' things as a hobby which has now actually become my 2nd business, I'd find that quality totally shoddy and unacceptable. It's clearly very loose and over time it's going to degrade more the more you use it by having any contact with that loose bit of leather. It looks like a poor design/implementation.
Personally I would have had some form of clamp or securing mechanism/ring for the top edge of that tube of leather. As it is it just looks like it's cut to size and then plonked over the knob.

The end-user quality/finish both technically and aesthetically is something I put a real focus on with my products and I get a lot of positive feedback for it. I publish that feedback and it leads directly to more orders. I have also implemented some improvement suggestions by clients (Customer feedback loop).

Why not send them an email/photo to indicate your displeasure with it? See what they come back with.
