Hey guys,
I wanted to get some fresh views/opinions on this issue. Only thread I was able to find on the forum was this one from a while back:
https://z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=12396
No plans on tracking my car atm but I want to understand how "real" this issue is for the Z as it seems I've only found/read of failures on e46s.
- Have other members had experience with the nut failing on/off track?
- Do others think it's worth getting a nut with a safety wire installed? I would probably opt for a shop to do it as I don't have a hoist.
- Any simpler (read: home garage friendly) solutions that have proven effective? I read something about replacing a vibration damperer.
Thanks!
