Mine were replaced free under initial 3 year warranty . Dealer did say if they were used more they would probably dry out , but when they saw the reflector corrosion they renewed both.
It evaporates and then the moisture returns when it get's colder.chris6 said:

I have that problem also. It's the only real flaw so far in the car. Parking it towards the sun got rid of the moisture in about an hour earlier (following a wash). I wouldn't drill holes in the casing, doesn't make any sense re: solving the problem. You can however use a hair dryer, or just turn them on while you're out.

I agree, thats the best time to do it, problem is mine were fine when i bought the car, it was 6 months later they started to mist up, they are just crap, along with the headlights which are a joke, my 50 year old TR4 had better lights, i think BMW's reputation for quality is undeserved, i love my car for how it looks and drives but no way i would buy another one.

YES, FIRST TIME!!
I washed my Z4 yesterday and it was the first time the fogs didn't get wet at all or misty! It's been over 2 weeks since last cleaning and journey and yesterday I almost choosed the Z. Well, I went with my Fiat Seicento

Anyway, for the MOT I readjusted the fog lights to show as low as possible. I have xenons on them, so they are still bright enough. As said I washed my car yesterday and I was wondering, why didn't the fogs get misty at all. Is it because they were readjusted? It may be a solution...

2 weeks after i drilled 2 x 3mm holes underneath each fog i have clear fogs , ,granted my zed lives indoors & hasn't seen rain but success whatever.
just wondering now whether to reseal the holes ?
Have you fixed the other (main) seal that actually caused the mist in the first place? If so, then you might as well finish the job and seal the holes you've drilled. If not.. then you ought to seal both!
