PVR, hope you are sitting down for this.

Finally picked up my skirts and rear bumper from the painters this morning, and with Bing popping round tomorrow (hopefully) I started to strip the car in preperation.

So how it started off

You were only meant to take the bloody skirts off!!!!!!

The wing had taken a very slight knock from a van when the previous owner had it, I've seen the picture of the original damage and it is slight. The repair though was not up to my standard as the damage was on a crease and didn't have the sharp edge like the original. Also luckily they had only painted the wing and not blended into any other panels as the match isn't good at certain angles. I managed to locate a replacement wing that I checked the a PDG to ensure it was original paint in the hope that it would match better, which it does. Just need to put the ///M badge back and polish it up.

New wing on.

Damage to old wing. I expected to see a big lump which they had filled, but it looks as if they have tried to get the panel back into shape.

Finally, off with the rear bumper as mine had some slight damage, and give the exhausts and rear a bit of a clean up.

Bloody hell - that's some serious dismantling :o

Great job so far though, and I am still coming down so we can get those skirts on

I need lots of pics for the Aero skirts... or do I just get Bing to come round?

PVR did a thread when he and srhutch did his that is a good guide. I should know what I am doing after tomorrow though, so if you need some help then I'm sure we can sort something out. You're a bit closer than Mr Hutch :D

Cheers Gents, just need to take delivery.

Srhutch, how much did u pay to get them painted & did u use the same place as PVR?

Good work so far, now for the big question, are you going to be selling the old bumper on? :-D

In the end I used a local to me company. Transporting the parts and time were an issue. I paid £300 cash for both skirts and the bumper. Skirts would have been £150 on their own.

It's nice to do before and after pics, something a lot of us forget to do

Looking forward to the transformation

wow great work! Was it hard to remove the wing?

Not too bad, you need to remove the side skirt to get to the bottom two bolts. There are two bolts that are accessed by removing the indicator, one behind the front bumper, the others are all easy to get to.

Wow... That is some serious dismantling!

Look forward to some aero skirt pics... I'd keep an eye on bing though... Otherwise those skirts may end up on his car!!
