Still relatively new here, so apologies if this should go somewhere else, but... just wanted to report that it's a beautiful clear November morning here and I just had my first experience of cold but sunny, top down, heated seats, scarf and gloves, freezing but wonderfully happy driving!

I've had the top down a number of times on warm days, but it really is something else when it's cold and clear and beautiful, isn't it? I did about 20 miles on clear rural A and B roads, and my head is still buzzing! THIS is what the Z4 is all about!

Thanks for letting me share... :)

Sharing is good - though our coupe driving friends won't have a clue what you're on about, poor things :poke:

Might not have a convertible roof to drop but when on a drive whether it's summer or winter it's windows down for me.

I sometimes regret not buying the Roadster.

jonno, take some pictures next time!

Love driving the Z4 with the roof down especially when its cold even when its dark, everyone keeps telling me I shall get bored of it. I do'nt think so all tho my choice in music might need a slight adjustment :tumbleweed:

Thats why Taz bought a coupe, couldn't deal with people laughing at him with The Carpenters up full volume....

Thanks guys, it's good to find some like-minded people (tho think Taz might be on his own with the Carpenters thing...)

YOu're a bunch of nutters and its kid of cool 8)

don't you find it just too noisy. There is so much wind gushing that I can barely hear the exhaust at speed. At town speed:
Did get a girl in recently and she asked me if I realised my windows were down... it was midnight.

Summer with the roof down is great...

...but those cold frosty but crystal clear winter days are the best!

Heated seats, scarf, hat, sunglasses, fresh air - awesome.

Us "tin-tops" don't understand scuttle shake or bodyflex either...!!

:fuelfire:

Nope, and neither do we have to pull over half way through a forum meet just to put our roofs up when it gets a little drizzly and dreich outside.

:poke:

Oops - must sharpen up my manners, think I ignited the Exclusive Club rivalry in an inappropriate thread :o

Heated seats & that furnace heater... Happy days & miles of smiles... Who cares if u have to stop once in a blue moon to cover up

Engine warms up to normal temperature supa quick, so it's topless everywhere unless it's Showa time...

It's deffo a Zed affliction, the grin factor... just have to suffer, ho humm...

Potential for a free Christmas dinner - another advantage of driving a roadster
