Hi guys, thanks for the +ve comments as yes it is a bit marmite, but i love hotrods and caterhams, so this should combine them perfectly.
the floor was purchased from Endurancemats.com, £3 a 50x50cm tile. Be careful as they are actually 46.5x46.5 when interlocked so you do loose a bit

They are 14mm thick which is good as some thinner ones can lift if you turn the wheels on them. These are only in black though as they are made from recycled PVC, hence cheap. Other colours are available for more, so any ZX spectrum block graphic picture you want is possible.

It took me 2hours to lay, and then a further 2hours edging and messing around with silicone……which i perhaps should not have bothered with.
Chopper is a Mk2, 1975 matching numbers job, with many original features. It will get a full restoration shortly in the same grey as the Morgan
How does it compare to the Z4M….Well the engine noise is to die for that is for sure, the BMW was just too tame.

As a car to life with as a daily driver that is a bit special, then the Z4m will take some beating, but despite it being so good, it was never a special occasion to drive. Performance wise on paper they are very similar figures, but on the road they are miles apart. The BMW rewards when you really work it hard, getting all 300 horses working means you have to be well into the 7K rpm and on you game determined to rev it. The morgan is all over by 6K

, as it is a massive Torque rich engine so effortlessly passes anything with no drama. I suspect the BM is faster, but that is kind of missing the point. Steering and brake feel though, hands down the Morgan every time, as the controls are either gently assisted or not assisted. likewise cornering and feel what the car is doing, is a clear step on for the morgan. Refinement, and ease of use though is a total white wash for the BM, as this is what it is so good at…..So horses for courses.
I am not knocking the Z4m, i loved the performance
