Remember to run it past your insurance, I was considering a strut brace until I called my insurance company who said that they wouldn't be able to offer cover if one was fitted.Ladderman said:I will be installing a Ultra Racing strut brace shortly & came a cross this picture when looking at installed examples. As long as it's not left like that, I don't see the problem...although couldn't have a bright white strut brace in there - looks like an America TV presenter smiling!!!

It was on the car like that when I purchased it. I thought they all had them at first and that it was a standard fitment from the factory. But I was told that they aren't standard(on here) and someone must have put it on it.SiJar said:I like the strut brace is that an OEM one and was it chromed or polished from bare metal?

As to the solid 3 point before I went with it, did reading and on insurance some providers don't want to cover it because it doesn't have the under crush fold point for accidents like oem bars do but a reason I went with it too was under heavy cornering I've seen tales and pics of the welds breaking on the oem bar mounting point at the strut tower point since it's not using the strut mount bolts, under cornering you're at the mercy of how good that weld is on the strut tower to the bar mount point

There was an OEM Cross brace. It is listed as an "accessory" but is no longer available from BMWbuzyg said:There is no OEM strut brace straight between the turrets on a Zed4 The only OEM strut brace, are the two diagonal components.
The other is none OEM, so check your insurance covers it. .
Sorry to be a bore there.![]()
That on that you have installed is a factory option. Although, it is no longer available.LeeZ4MR said:It was on the car like that when I purchased it.
