So last November, as the snow began to fall willy nilly about every fourth day, never enough to amount to much but enough for the Highway crews to drop watered down salt and salt chunks, thus ending my driving days for the winter in the Z., as I refuse to drive when its wet let alone on the salted roads. Rains one thing, salt, um Bad bad bad.
So around the end of December just before Christmas, it was a nice day and the roads were clean enough after a couple days of decent rains, the sun was shining, roads were dry, thought I would take the Z out for a ride to the local watering hole to pick up some Springbank or Laphroaig or something.
When I got out there I saw this, next to the car.......

Did not really think anything about it except I have a roosting bird. Any way the car did not start, the battery that I'm sure was in the car since it rolled off the show room floor was dead. Original BMW stickers, no date. Whatever!
Here we are in the end of January and it's snowed enough to keep the salts on the roads till last week. I was looking to drive it last Thursday to work, give the old bird a good run about on the way and back. But no, the new battery was zapped due to the sub zero temps we were experiencing all January. Fine , but gah :x :x :x :x So I hook the charger up........
Next day it should be good to go. Yippie I'm going to driver her Friday instead.
I get home, open the trunk to take the leads off and notice the boot light didn't lite up. :x :x :x
Gah!!!! So I unhook the battery thinking I didn't get enough meat on the leads and plugged her back in.
Now it's Saturday as I drive home from work, it's a gorgeous day, I'm going to take her up for a wash as the gravel road I live on tends to dust up everything around here. At current, the gravel is smashed back down and the mud is now just smooth dirt. Like it should be. Well, when they stop muckin it up by laying more gravel. which realy only makes dust out the ass, RANT so I wont get started about that. They need to pave the F%#inf thing.
I opened the boot and no lite lit up. Im going to guess my charger of twenty-five years plus went kaput.
So I pulled my daily drive up (worrying something chewed a cable somewhere and OMG what a pain that's going to be to find) and hook up jumper cables, boot lite lit up (relife) and I rev her for ten minutes, unhook the cables and she starts right up.
So there I am in the car wash with a hand wand getting all the dust off her, and when I got to the drivers side I saw a whole hell of a lot of white dots on the door and front wing and they ain't cleaning off with this high power pressure washer. :x Gah! Looks like somethings been banging on my car. A cat? a dog? some varmint? WTF? So i bent over and scraped with my thumbnail and the spot came off. Just one of hundreds mind you as you are not seeing all the smaller ones, just the bigger ones...... Hmmm. Yet the pressure washer wouldn't make them move.
I drive it back home and pull into the shed and take a closer look and see this.....
It's then I realize that ain't just some bird per the first pic.... as I see what looks like big turds.....except those ain't turds.
That's regurgitated field mice. It's not some bird but a dammed Barn Owl.

Took me near an hour to get it happy.

So I still need to get a sliding door on that shed. And Screw YOU Barn Owl.
And the bucket you see, now sits open end up where the turds are, to capture the s**t.
