Does this mean Carver or just an upgrade of some sort - can anyone tell?! :?
 
"Had" to be precise. Water in that location normally terminates the amp.

Holy sh*t - then I have the Carver! Keep seeing more options which have been added to this car everyday! Good stuff :D

Good thing the boot is now dry, wouldn't fancy replacing that amp, must get that brake light fitted this week....

Just fitted the clear brake light this afternoon - would love to give you my old one but its in 5 pieces! :roll:

yeh it was fixed in pretty tight, got one side out then the other wouldn't budge so just ripped it out in several pieces - no damage to car so wasn't bothered! Someone else had exactely the same problem on this board and posted the pic of it in bits, can't remember who..
 
I posted pics of one in bits. It didn't exactly stick in place though.... One bolt started to spin in the plastic part of the light that grips it. Had to rip out the light around the bolt so the bolt head could be gripped and the nut unscrewed :thumbsdown:

I paid £44 from BMW and that's with the 10% off - lucky the garage is reimbursing me or I'd be well pis*ed off!
 
Thank you all for the input and advice and a special thank you to Herminator for purchasing the last red brake light from the auction site before I could get it.

However I have now managed to purchase a 'brand spanker' from ebay. It also came with new brake lights and side repeaters which will soon be for sale.

Ah, you won that auction :thumbsup:

I was watching the ebay set and ready to bid but since I only need the same brake light and I could get some cheap locking nuts at the same time, I went with the parts shop instead.

£24 for the lights you got was a steal :thumbsup:

Atleast we've both ended up with what we needed at less than dealer prices.
 
Is this the longest thread for something that costs as much as a couple of beers and a bag of chips?
